WATER SUPPLY

Water Restriction 6 am to 9 am 6 pm to 9 pm Everyday, unless told otherwise. Hand watering is allowed by an adult anytime.

Water Quality Water samples are taken weekly and tested for bacteria. Four times per year water samples are taken and tested for minerals, hardness and pH. Test results are available for public viewing at the Town Office. Because of the town shallow aquifer low pH lime and chlorine are injected into the supply system to raise the pH to National Water Standards.

Where does it come From Town Water Is pumped from shallow aquifer bores to a 2,000,000 gallon holding dam then pumped to 200,000 gallon elevated water reservoir. It is then gravity fed to water mains and houses. Monthly checks are carried out to monitor bore water levels to help us better manage and understand our water supply for future needs.
