WEIPA TOWN AUTHORITY In March 2004 the 4-year term for the current Town Authority began.

The Town Authority consists of four members elected by you the ratepayer.

Meetings of the Weipa Town Authority are held in the Council Chambers on the third Friday of each month commencing at 8.00am. The meetings are broken up as follows, Chairpersons Report commencing at 8:00am, Administration and Finance Report commences at 9:00am, Community and Social Report commences at 10:00am, Works and Engineering Report commences at 11:00am and Planning and Development Report commences at 12:00pm. All these meetings are open to the public. Any variation to meeting times and dates will be advertised in the Western Cape Bulletin. Correspondence for this meeting closes on the Friday prior to the meeting to allow Council officers sufficient time to prepare reports.
