PROCESS TO OBTAIN BUILDING / PLUMBING APPROVAL

FOR DETACHED HOUSE, PATIO,SHED,POOL, 2ND TOILET

1.                  Fill out building development application forms A,B & Plumbing forms 1 & 2. Supply 3 sets of engineer certified, structural plans to Town Office.

·        Building Fees are:                                                                                                    

      $3.20 per m2 for total living are

      $2.50 per m2 for carports and verandahs

      $187.00 for water/sewer connection

      $44.00 per fixture for plumbing

      $150.00 for garden shed/shipping container storage up to 10m2

      $255.00 for garden shed/shipping container storage up to 20m2

      $390.00.00 for garden shed/shipping container storage over 320m2

      $255.00.00 for Inground Pool

      $180.00 for Aboveground Pool

2.                  Town Office will evaluate and check plans. Town Office will notify applicant within 5 day that work can proceed or not.

3.                  Inspections will occur at the following stages, 24 hours notice is required prior to inspection.

·        Prior to pouring footings or slab

·        Prior to pouring bon beams

·        Prior to backfilling sewer lines and releasing water test

·        Prior to cladding of walls and ceiling

·        On completion.

4.         A final inspection notice will be issued prior to occupation of premises.
