Water:            A single dwelling or single flat is charged at a rate of 5 units of water. This unit charge is not a usage charge, as the town is not yet fully metered. By mid 2006 a new water policy will be formulated.    Sewerage:            A charge for pedestals located on your parcel of land. The 1st Pedestal rate for a single dwell/flat/unit is charged at the First Pedestal rate and any further pedestals are charged at a reduced rate.   Domestic Garbage:            A charge for wheelie bin collection twice a week located on your property. Cleanaway are the contractors who supply this collection service. Cleanaway will introduce a recyling collection in about 18 months time. Advetisements will be placed in the Weipa Bulletin when this is to occur.   Disposal:            No longer charged on rate notices. Effective from 1 Sep 2005 all Commercial/Industrial disposal charges for use of Evans Landing Refuse dump are the responsibility of Cleanaway who have the contract for these services   Industrial Garbage:       A charge for industrial bin collection. Prices vary based on size of bin and number of times per week collected. Effective from 1 Jan 2006 Cleanaway will be responsible for billing of these charges as part of the Cleanaway contract . These charges will disappear from Rate Notices on the same effective date.
